I am so excited by the arrival of Ayala Bar. Alaya has been one of my favourite jewellery designers for years - my own extensive personal collection of her jewellery is proof of that - and I am thrilled that we finally have her stunning collection in the shop and online.
Inspired by her cultural background of Afghanistan and Israel, Ayala combines many different elements into her jewellery: Beads, soft tassels, gold leaf, Swarovski crystals, fabrics, plaster, wood and different treasures that she picks up on her travels, along with textiles from around the world. Each piece of jewellery is a miniature work of art.
Never has a range of jewellery been so perfect for summer, with it's bright colours and beautiful shapes. Lightweight to wear yet show-stopping at the same time, each piece is produced in very small quantities, thus making them collectable as well as wonderful to wear.
Jewellery designer, Anton Heunis, has done it again. He has treated us to a feast of colour and Mexican-inspired jewellery with both his 'Frida Kahlo' and 'Zulu Goddess' collections which have just arrived in store. They are stunning!
We have a huge choice of earrings, all gold plated and handmade in Madrid with vintage glass stones and Swarovski crystals in an array of shapes and colours, such as hot pink, lime green, turquoise, red, blue, yellow, purple and orange. What could be better for summer?
With so many to choose from, it's just a matter of deciding which pair!
We have just received the most wonderful enamel butterfly and dragonfly brooches from Au Bout Des Reves. Formally known as Catherine Popescu, Au Bout De Reves have been designing retro-style enamel jewellery since 1992. Based in France, each piece is handmade from original stampings, discovered at the famous Paris flea market.
Each beautiful insect is embedded with Swarovski crystals and are so lightweight that most of them can be worn on silk. The colours are incredible with stunning lime green, red, turquoise, teal, hot pink and violet.
We love the fact that these beautiful old designs are being reproduced and not forgotten, keeping them alive for further generations to enjoy.
